HSE card
Everyone who carries out work on building and construction sites is required to equip their employees (both Norwegian and foreign) with HSE cards. The HSE card is proof that you work legally and is issued by the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority. Obtaining a physical HSE card takes approximately 2 weeks, but a confirmation of order is also considered a valid document in the period until the physical card is produced and delivered. The confirmation will be sent to your e-mail 1-2 days after the card has been ordered. You are NOT allowed to work on the project until confirmation from the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority is in place.
The physical card will be sent to the head office in Tranby, and will be forwarded to you from there. The card also serves as an entry key to some projects, it is personal, and you yourself are responsible for having it available at all times. Talk to your immediate superior if the card is not in place within 2 weeks, if you have lost it or it is not working. If you choose to end your employment, the card must be delivered to your immediate supervisor or head office.
